The Indianapolis Colts are coming off a Thursday Night Football victory against the New York Jets. Next up is the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are coming off a Week 9 win over the Buffalo Bills.
Nothing, according to Carson Wentz, will keep him from playing against the Jaguars. No, he isn’t hurt. He and his wife, on the other hand, are awaiting the birth of their second kid.
“I might receive a call at any point,” Wentz told Stephen Holder of The Athletic. Even if the decision is made on game day, the Colts quarterback is set.
Wentz said, “I’m playing.” The sixth-year quarterback said that he and his wife have spoken about every eventuality and that she is fine with Wentz missing their daughter’s birth.
Whether it’s the first or fifth kid, the birth of a child is a life-changing event. Wentz’s decision to play for the Colts demonstrates his dedication to his teammates, coaches, and the purpose.
The Jaguars recently shown that any club can lose on any given Sunday. Carson Wentz is well aware of this, and knows that his team cannot afford to lose against a weaker opponent at a crucial period of the season.
For the Colts, every game is a must-win.

The Indianapolis Colts have a 4-5 record right now. In the AFC South, Frank Reich’s club is in second place, three games behind the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans will clinch the division championship if they continue to play like they did against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football. The Colts would then have to compete for one of three wild-card places.
All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard warned his teammates before of Indianapolis’ Week 8 clash against Tennessee that it was a must-win game.
The Colts battled valiantly, but eventually lost a nail-biter in overtime, 34-31. Tennessee has already swept its division opponents in the season series, giving them the head-to-head edge if there is a tie later on.
Carson Wentz and his teammates were devastated to lose such a tight game, but they are still in the hunt. Nonetheless, since the margin of error is zero, the team will need all hands on deck.
The AFC is close, so if the Colts lose a few more games, they’ll be sitting on their sofas watching the playoffs.
To bring Indianapolis into the playoffs, Wentz has to perform like an MVP.

In the summer, the Colts acquired Carson Wentz from the Philadelphia Eagles to replace Philip Rivers, who announced his retirement following the 2020 season.
Wentz fell out of favor in Philadelphia, where he was replaced by Jalen Hurts, a second-year quarterback. With a new start in Indianapolis, the often injured Wentz set out to resurrect his career.

To stay up with the AFC’s high-powered offenses, the Colts’ offensive will have to step it up a level against superior opposition. The Colts are currently rated seventh in team offense, thanks to a strong rushing assault.
Jonathan Taylor leads the NFL in running yards (821), and rushing touchdowns (three) (8). Carson Wentz will need to be steady down the stretch while leading the offense and avoiding unforced mistakes.
In the second half of the season, the Colts will face the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and Arizona Cardinals.
The Colts will need Carson Wentz to lead them to the playoffs because the route will not be simple.
